Demon Life: Chapter 3

The girl played her guitar happily in the subway. She had always enjoyed making music for other people. It calmed her and was everything she could have ever wanted. Even if she was an abandoned child, poor, and had nothing in her possession except her voice and a guitar that was found in the trash. She felt like she could fly freely in the sky as long as she had music by her side. But little did she know, it was also what would bring her down from the bright blue sky. It was just another day as she played her guitar, she noticed a certain man who stared at her in the crowd. She kept on playing and assumed he was just yet another one of her many audiences. As the sun sets, she packs up her beloved guitar and begins her walk home. Because she was kicked out of her guardian’s house, she had found an abandoned shack in the woods and made herself a place to live. She walked through the city and soon arrive at the edge of the forest, she realized soon enough she was being shadowed. The girl quickened her pace. She was soon near her place when suddenly a cloth was forced over her mouth, it smelled a sweet smell at first then soon turned into an alcoholic smell. “Help-” was her last thought before she passed out. She awoke to pain all over her body as she found herself alone and dying in a dimly lit room. The strange man emerged from the darkness and smiled a dark smile. The girl was helplessly tied up and she cried silently as her voice could not come out. The man approached her with a knife and ran the cold surface over her smooth skin. As he added pressure, the knife dug deep into her skin and bright red blood streamed out onto her pearly skin. She cried out, agonized. He repeated the process all over her limbs and kneed her in the stomach to keep her from fainting. The girl died slowly, her life slowly drawn out from her along with the blood as it flows out of her body. She couldn't hold on to her consciousness and soon died in misery of this bloody torment from this sadistic stranger.

She was already dead when he found her. The human was easy to take care of, certainly had some skill but his movements were extremely slow compared to himself. He killed him with ease. Walking further into the cabin, he finds the girl tied and torn to pieces. She was covered in blood from head to toe and her inner organs were practically falling out of her. It was a gruesome sight. At least to a normal human being. He cut off the ropes tied to her limbs and carried her out the disgusting room that smelled of blood. The smell was so overpowering it masked everything even to his sensitive nose. He sewn her body back together and washed off the blood, he found a place, guessing it was abandoned. Sets her down and waited for her to wake up to her new found “life.”

Cecile: *Walking back home. Sighs* It's already been... How many years ago-?

Zess: It's only been 7. *Chuckles*

Cecile: That's a pretty long time you know. *Elbows Zess*

Zess: Pff, sure, but I've been living way longer than that. *Elbows back* It was rather sudden though, the fact that you became my companion. You were in tatters when I first found you. Quite a lot of blood, you didn't look very good. *Smirks*

Cecile: *Shudders at the memory* Aw-Wha- Don't even- *Both laughs* S-Shut up. The scars look horrible on my body.-- But... Well... I was surprised when I found him dead already when I came back.

Zess: *Sarcastically* Gee, I wonder how that could have happened. Not like I sneaked past him and sneaked you out right?

Cecile: Oh please. Don't "Gee" Me. *Jumps behind Zess and wraps her arms around his shoulders* Thanks for disposing of him and patching me up. It was sweet of you to do so. *Smiles*

Zess: You're very welcome, m'lady. *Snickers*
